Ingredients
- 400g can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- chopped handful of flat-leaf parsley or curly parsley
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2tsp chopped fresh green chillis
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- toasted pitta bread
- 1 fresh lemon. use this to squeeze over your salad and falafel
- green salad, to serve 1 small red onion, roughly chopped

Instructions
- in a mixing bowl, put the chickpeas and crush them together with your hands
- put the rest of the ingredients into the bowl (except the pitta & salad) just making sure!
- mix all the ingredients together with your hands and bring your mixture together until it's thoroughly combined.
- take a small piece of the mixture in your hands and roll it into a ball, if you like flatten it slightly. do this with all of the mix.
- heat some oil in a wok or fat fryer or even a pan,( but be careful, it can be dangerously hot) to about 180c
- try 1 first!!! place your falafel balls or flattened balls into your oil for approx 3-4 mins or until golden brown, if they brown too quickly turn the temp down
- take out of the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on some kitchen paper
- serve with your toasted bread and salad
