Fantastic opportunity for a quality Pastry Chef at this luxurious establishment, located in a beautiful setting within North Yorkshire.
It is within the busy main restaurant that an experienced Head Pastry Chef is required to run the section. A team player, the successful candidate will be dedicated and maintain producing cuisine to the highest of standards in an extremely fast environment. Offering a novel approach to cuisine, the menu is delicious, yet simple, and proves to be a popular combination with diners.
Your duties will include:
The day to day running of the pastry section
Informing senior chefs of ordering requirements
Carrying out stock checks
Ensuring the correct standards are in place and if not, to redirect and control.
Training of the junior chefs
Up keeping the high standards that are already in place
Input in to menu planning
Excellent opportunities for career development
Small, stable team
Previous experience in a establishment with Rosettes or Michelin is essential, this position would suit someone driven by achieving the next level.
Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene.
