AlexChefHouse: My Top 5 Strange Food Combos

AlexChefHouse: My Top 5 Strange Food Combos

Come on now admit it, you know what I mean. We all have them; some make us feel guilty but others we are proud of. We aren’t talking about ‘black caviar with chicken liver parfait’ or ‘squid ink pasta’: we’re talking run of the mill commercial delicacies that when paired are a taste sensation.

I want to hear about the strange food combinations you enjoy so get uploading (we’ll post the best and most strange on our twitter) but to start you off, I’ve picked five of my favourites that you have to try:

1) Cheese and Onion Crisps and a Twix

TwixCheese and Onion

Like all of these examples; I’m not joking. The perfect ratio is three to four crisps per third of a Twix stick.

2) Dairy Lea Sarnie and pickled onion monster munch

Make sure you use thin white bread and don’t be shy on the diary lea. Expert level: press the middle of the sandwich down so the bread goes sticky but leave the crusts fluffy.

3) Mcdonalds Strawberry Milkshake and Salty Fries

Dunk and enjoy! After dunking a hand full of chips in a generous coating of strawberry milkshake you’ll wonder why you’ve never thought of this before.

4) Supernoodle Sarnie

Perfectly cooked supernoodles (chicken or curry work the best) + buttered white bread = your new favourite snack.

5) Chicken Kiev and Pasta Sauce

You know it makes sense! Cover your oven baked chicken kiev in a Broccoli and Cheese pasta sauce for a budget treat.

Comment below or on our facebook with your examples and before you even try and dispute that any of the examples above aren’t nice, please remember you are wrong.
